A man charged with the sexual assault of a nine-year-old girl at a Melbourne shopping centre last week has been ordered to provide DNA to the Melbourne Magistrates Court.
Mahommad Khan, 22, from Springvale has been remanded in custody after a brief court appearance this afternoon.
The supermarket worker was arrested on Saturday night and charged with 10 offences relating to the sexual assault of a nine-year-old girl in a changing room in the Myer store at Chadstone last Wednesday.
It is alleged Khan, an Indian national who is In World wide on a student visa, lured the girl and her eight-year-old sister into the changing room where he attacked the older girl.
He has been ordered to provide detectives with DNA to be compared with samples taken from the scene.
He is due back in court in June.
